A Reliable associate of Dharmaveer Anand Dighe Saheb, Head of Shivsena Branch from last 15 years. He has been an active participant in various movements in Shivsena since he was 18 years old. He was sent to jail at many occasions while he was participating in a movement on the Karnataka Border at Belgaum.

Being involved in various movements in Maharashtra he had been sent to jail again at Nipani, Kasar while fighting at the Karnataka Border at a very young age. He has always been known as a strong supporter and follower of Dharmaveer Anand Dighe Saheb and has dedicated his life to Shivsena and with the blessing of Shivsena Chief Balasaheb Thackeray he continues his political and social movements in Thane for helping poor and needy people in and around Thane.

Whenever Thanekars faced a bad time or shortage of food and grains Shri Eknath Shinde Saheb stood by them and provided them the required grain. Sugar, edible oil and other things from the various warehouses was distributed among them. As a head of the branch of Shivsena at Kisan Nagar No.2 Thane, he constructed the office branch (building) of course with great efforts and supports of his comrades.

He is the pioneer to various cultural, social, educational help projects in Thane like Ganesh Utsav, Dahihandi, Independence Day, Republic Day Celebration, Felicitation of Scholars, Rankers, Blood donation Camps, Health Check-up camps, Felicitation of Seniors Citizen, Book Distribution to poor and needy students etc and carried these activities successfully for many years.

Corporator in Thane Municipal Corporation in 1997, Leader of the House (Sabhagruh Neta) from 2001 to 2005. He was elected as the Corporator from his own ward. Then he planned and thought towards many problems of the people not only in his own ward but around the Thane City. He solved many problems of the Thanekars very efficiently and skillfully. First of all, he replaced all the old pipeline of drinking water in and around Wagale Estate.

He is known as a cheerful, simpleton, and reliable Shivasainik of Anand Dighe Saheb. He has continued to be a leader of the House in TMC for four consecutive years. His work and fame was appreciated by the Shivsena Chief Balasaheb Thackerayand he was promoted to the post of Chief of Thane district. He is always busy with his associates and Shivsainik involved in various activities, solving so many problems of people, attending meetings, election campaigns for rural or urban areas. He keeps on attending, guiding all the supporters. His office building is like his own house where he spends all his time. His only dream and passion is to hoist the saffron (Bhagwa) flag everywhere. He received an election opportunity and ticket from his party i.e from Respected Balasaheb Thackeray. He won the election and received the honor of becoming a Member of Legislative Assembly by defeating his Legistative Assembly opponent with more than 38,000 of votes, but he has dedicated his win to the people in Thane and his supporters. He tells that he could win only because of love, hard work and trust of the Thanekars. He gives time to listening to the demands of the common man and puts up all the related problems in the Assembly. He gets important projects sanctioned in and around Thane. He has carried out his duties so successfully only because he has remained the follower of Anand Dighe Saheb and has the blessing of Balasaheb Thackeray Saheb and guidance of Uddhavji Thackeray.

He took lots of efforts and changed the total look and scenario of Thane city as he carried out Satis Project which is a maiden step for development of the city, constructions of roads and renovation of Thane Civil Hospital, his dream projects which are going to be completed are Mini Stadium, Theatre at Ghodbunder Road and at the same time he is working for the project of 100 MLD water supply to Thane city and Clean and Green Thane. In the year 2009 he was appointed as the Chief of Thane District in 2009 as he won the election with maximum votes in the Assembly.
